Liverpool v Chelsea

Chelsea have looked impressive away to Liverpool over the past 5 seasons having won twice and drawn three times. Despite this impressive away run, Betfair football betting have backed Liverpool to beat Chelsea at Anfield, meaning several players have the chance of getting some retribution against their former club.

Mo Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke could all potentially play a part in the fixture against Chelsea, with Salah and Sturridge definitely seeking to prove to their former employers that they are good enough for any Premier League team, even the defending champions’ team.

The Blue go into the game 3 points above the Reds, having picked up 25 points so far this season and sitting in 3rd place while Liverpool, with 22 points, currently sit in 5th, just outside of the Champions League qualification spots. Chelsea will be hoping to exploit the Reds’ poor defensive record and know that set pieces will be the way to score goals.

The game comes off the back of confident performances from both sides, with Liverpool defeating Southampton 3-0 and Chelsea putting the final nail into Tony Pulis’ managerial coffin with a 4-0 win away at West Brom, leading to the Baggies sacking Pulis on Monday. Ahead of the game between the two on Saturday 25th November, we have created the following infographic which takes a look at both clubs, including some records and their previous meetings.
