Russian-born Australian 17th seed Daria Kasatkina made light work of France's Leolia Jeanjean, sealing a 6-4 6-2 win to progress to the third round. She will face Spaniard 10th seed Paula Badosa.

1910 KENIN TOPS AZARENKA TO SET UP ALL-AMERICAN CLASH

Sofia Kenin, the 31st seed, secured a straight-sets win over former world number one Victoria Azarenka 7-6(5) 6-4 to reach the third round. The 2020 runner-up will next face fellow American Madison Keys.

Sixth seed Novak Djokovic, who received medical treatment on his left foot in the third set, overcame Frenchman Corentin Moutet 6-3 6-2 7-6(1) to move into the third round.

The Serbian, a three-time Roland Garros champion, will next face either Canada's Denis Shapovalov or Austria's Filip Misolic.

1639 BADOSA OVERCOMES RUSE

Spanish 10th seed Paula Badosa came from a set down to beat Romania's Elena-Gabriela Ruse 3-6 6-4 6-4 to advance to the third round, where she will face either 17th seed Daria Kasatkina or French wild card Leolia Jeanjean.

1619 KEYS SEES OFF BOULTER

Australian Open champion Madison Keys, seeded seventh, dispatched Britain's Katie Boulter 6-1 6-3.

In the third round, she will be up against Victoria Azarenka or fellow American Sofia Kenin.

1515 GAUFF MARCHES ON, RUBLEV THROUGH

American second seed Coco Gauff beat Tereza Valentova of Czech Republic 6-2 6-4 to set up a third-round meeting with another Czech Marie Bouzkova.

Top seed Jannik Sinner cruised into the third round with a 6-3 6-0 6-4 victory over 38-year-old Richard Gasquet, who was playing in his final tournament before retiring.

Third seed Alexander Zverev overcame a slow start to beat Dutchman Jesper De Jong 3-6 6-1 6-2 6-3 and advance to the third round.

Portuguese qualifier Henrique Rocha, ranked 200th in the world, staged a memorable comeback to beat 19th seed Jakob Mensik 2-6 1-6 6-4 6-3 6-3.

Rocha, who is playing in a Grand Slam's main draw for the first time, will face Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik in the third round.
